Accademia d’armi Musumeci Greco – Swordsmen’s school
Everything started in 1878, when the Marquis and Garibaldian hero Salvatore Greco dei Chiaramonte decided to open a sword training academy in a 15th-century old building. The descendants continued the tradition and one of them, Enzo, invented the figure of "Sword Master" for the film industry. During the 1930s adventure movies were very popular and the actors should be good in using the sword. In Accademia d'Armi Musumeci Greco famous actors such as Errol Flynn, Charlton Heston, Gina Lollobrigida and Richard Burton learned how to use the sword. Today, the tradition goes on as the academy hosts a fencing school.
