Basilica of San Piero a Grado – The Mysterious Journeys of the Templars

0
The Basilica of San Piero a Grado was frequented by the Knights Templar, as evidenced by the presence of several patented crosses graffitied on the outside walls. But the most mysterious element of the place is found on the façade of the church, where what appears to be a "corn cob" stands alone above a woven decoration. Totally unknown before the discovery of America, corn should not have existed in buildings before 1492. Many argue that this is irrefutable evidence of alleged Templar journeys across the Atlantic, which took place well before Columbus.
