Basilica of San Sebastiano fuori le Mura – Bernini’s “Salvator Mundi”
An art work by Bernini was finally discovered in 2001 in the Convent San Sebastiano fuori le Mura. It is a bust disappeared at the end of the 17th century and never found despite research started in 1972. The beauty of the scultpure makes the skills of the maestro recognizable with no doubt: "Salvator Mundi" is the last masterpiece made by Bernini.
