In the 1930s the addition of a new decorative element propelled the already-famous caffè Torino to new heights of fame: on the portico's pavement in front of its entrance now stood out a rampant bronze bull. Over the years, folklore has come to attribute good luck to the act of stepping on the bull's testicles, to this day an obligatory propitiatory gesture for passers-by.
