The Capodimonte Museum is the most important and richest art gallery in southern Italy, and one of the most important in Italy. The Galleries house the wonderful Farnese Collection, works by Giovanni Bellini, Sandro Botticelli, Colantonio, Raphael, Andrea Mantegna, Caravaggio, Annibale Carracci, Artemisia Gentileschi, Francisco Goya, Masaccio, Titian, Salvator Rosa, Luca Giordano, Massimo Stanzione, Pieter Brueghel the Elder, Correggio, Simone Martini, Battistello Caracciolo, Spagnoletto, Bernardo Cavallino, Niccolò de Simone, Giacinto Gigante and Vincenzo Gemito, as well as Andy Warhol's famous painting 'Vesuvius', the Borgia Collection and then on the top floors the gallery of the history of the Neapolitan school. However, the museum not only houses paintings, but also important porcelain and entire exhibition rooms belonging to the royal family of Naples.
