Carrara Academy Museum – Second floor, Room XI
Room XI of the Accademia Carrara museum is a room devoted mainly to 17th-century painting from Bergamo, Milan and Emilia. In addition to works by Giovan Battista Cavagna and Carlo Ceresa (such as 'Portrait of a Friar'), there are works by Procaccini ('Susanna and the Elders') and Guercino ('Diana's Bath'), as well as intense masterpieces by Bernardino Strozzi ('Ecclesiastical Portrait') and Adam Elsheimer ('Saint Jerome'), a German but naturalised Italian.
