Casa Marinetti – Where Futurism was born
Few people notice the inscription in front of the main gate at 2, Via Senato that reveals the little secret of this building: Futurism was born here. The inscription says "This is the house where Filippo Tommaso Marinetti founded the journal 'Poesia' in 1905. From here the Futuristic movement issued a challenge under the light of the moon mirrored in the Naviglio". The Navigli Canals, as a matter of fact, represented that Romanticism that Futuristic detested.
