Cathedral of San Lorenzo – The anecdote about the little dog at the door
There is a curious anecdote about the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, unknown to most people, but certainly appreciated by those who own a four-legged friend. To the right of one of the cathedral's entrances is a sculpture of a crouching dog. It seems to represent the loving gesture of its sculptor owner: the little dog died during the construction of the church and he decided to immortalise his lifelong friend in stone.
