On the façade of the Church of Santa Maria dell'Orazione e Morte there is a plaque representing a skeleton saying: "Hodie mihi, cras tibi" ("Today it is me, tomorrow you"). The building has several images related to death. On the left of the main altar, there is the access to the crypt where the ruins of an old cemetery were found. Here the bodies that were not buried elsewhere were brought from 1552 to 1896. Today, this place is an ossuary and you can even see skulls with the name of the deceased, the date and sometimes the reason of death carved on it.
