Church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme – The inscription”INRI”
Among the relics preserved in the Church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme there is the inscription of the cross where Christ was crucifixed, the famous words "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews", cited by John and that everybody knows by its abbreviation I.N.R.I. According to tradition, Elena, mother of Emperor Constantine, found it in 325 A.D. and brought it here from Holy Land together with The Cross.
