According to legend, the devil entered into this church disguised as a pig in 593 A.D. When St. Gregorio came and blessed the church, the animal started to run and scream all around. For three days the church was pervaded by sulphur mist and screams could be heard during the night. On the third day, from above a cloud descended on the main altar, followed by the scent of lily, rose, violet and incense.
