Church of St Agnes – “Going to St Agnes”
Despite the fact that the little church in Via Dante is dedicated to Saint Agnes, the emblem of purity and chastity, if someone had told you in the past that they went to Saint Agnes, they would not have meant that they went to pray, but to do something quite different. We do not know why, in fact, but it was in the district dedicated to the saint who symbolises innocence that brothels proliferated until the 1950s with the Merlin law. Now you have probably understood the saying, without further explanation.
