Church of St Bartholomew – Masterpieces of Art
The choir area of the historic church of San Bartolomeo contains important 16th-century artefacts that were placed here following the demolition of the churches for which they were originally built: note, for example, the wooden choir enriched with inlays by Fra' Damiano Zambelli and, above all, the 'Martinengo Altarpiece' by Lorenzo Lotto, previously made for the church of Santo Stefano. In addition, there is the vault of the church, in which Gaspare Diziani frescoed the "Glory of the Dominican Order".
