Comparative Anatomy Collection – About 2,500 preparations

0
The Collection of Comparative Anatomy consists of more than 9,000 items, making it one of the most internationally renowned collections of its kind, both in terms of the size and rarity of the materials. There are currently about 2,500 preparations on display, divided into three sections. The first consists of a series of specimens that can be observed and touched, accompanied by captions, including in Braille, so that the exhibition can also be enjoyed by the blind. The pieces in this itinerary allow certain evolutionary themes to be developed, such as the modification of teeth in relation to nutrition. The second route focuses on evolution and the main anatomical characteristics of vertebrates. The third route is a didactic itinerary dedicated mainly to university students.
