Corte Isolani – The three arrows on the ceiling

0
If you go to Strada Maggiore and look up at Corte Isolani (number 19), it is said that you can see three arrows embedded in the ceiling. The reason for their presence is said to be linked to a pleasant legend. It is said that three brigands wanted to kill a nobleman from Bologna, but just as they were about to shoot their arrows, a naked woman appeared from a nearby window, and the arrows stuck in the ceiling. Some, however, argue that the three arrows banally represent the three city powers (Church, party and Masonic senate), but clearly the first explanation is less boring.
