Among this historic establishment's many curiosities certainly figures Cavour's private table, positioned so that the statesman could always enjoy a view of the Parliament: this way he could leave its halls even in the middle of an important debate, the results of which would be relayed to him by his collaborators, waving handkerchiefs from the palace's windows as he enjoyed a hearty meal.
