0
The Museo d'Arte Orientale Edoardo Chiossone was designed by the architect Labò. The museum preserves and exhibits the rich heritage of Japanese and Chinese art collected in Japan by Edoardo Chiossone between 1875 and 1898, which consists of: prints, paintings, weapons and armour, bronzes, lacquers, ceramics, porcelain, costumes and textiles, with a total of about 2000 pieces on permanent display. Ukiyoe paintings and prints by famous authors such as Harunobu, Utamaro, Hiroshige and Hokusai, due to their fragility and delicacy, are displayed in temporary exhibitions.
