Falcone-Borsellino Museum – The so-called bunkerino

0
The 'Falcone-Borsellino Museum' dedicated to the memory of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino is located in the Palace of Justice in Palermo. After the "Chinnici massacre", the awareness grew that both of them were extremely exposed to danger. They had already been dealing with delicate trials against members of Cosa Nostra for some years, carrying out their duties in offices on the ground floor of the Palace of Justice that were easily accessible to anyone. For this reason, it was decided to move them to a more private area of the Palace and, to this end, the rooms of the so-called bunkerino, where the Museum is now located, were chosen. The rooms have been reconstructed as they were at that time, with various personal items that Giovanni and Paolo used during their endless days at work.
