The Fountain of Neptune is the work of Bartolomeo Ammannati and several additional artists. The enormous statue, dubbed "il Biancone" ("Big White") by the locals, is a mediocre effort, while remarkable skill was certainly required by the for bronze likeness of satyrs and marine gods surrounding it.
