Formed from the nucleus of Prince Odone di Savoia's collection and subsequent bequests and acquisitions, the Modern Art Gallery (GAM) of Genoa is located in the 17th century Villa Saluzzo Serra in Nervi. More than 350 works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings, dating from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day, are on display to document the artistic events of Liguria and its relations with Italian and international culture. The artists on display include Rayper, Luxoro, Cabianca, Varni, Barabino, Merello, Nomellini, Baroni, Messina, Martini and De Pisis, to name but a few.
