The Viandanti are the ancient hauliers and peddlers, whose guild or Gremio is located in Via Martino Bologna. Like all the other Gremi, the Gremio dei Viandanti takes part in the Descent of the Candlesticks on 14 August each year, the day on which the characteristic candlestick from the second half of the 18th century is carried. Its dominant colour is brick red; on the shaft is painted an image of the Madonna del Buon Cammino and a putto holding a drapery.
