Historical Museum of the Conservatory Arrigo Boito – Boito, Toscanini and Zanfi

The Historical Museum of the Conservatory is dedicated to Riccardo Barilla, the founder of the well-known food industry of the same name, at the behest of his patron, Pietro Barilla, who donated to the Conservatory the financial resources needed to renovate a small part of the attics of the Conservatory building and set up the Historical Museum, which was therefore designed by adapting the recovered spaces to the needs of the heritage to be exhibited (and not vice versa), which is why the small exhibition is a great success with visitors of all ages. The "Riccardo Barilla" Historical Museum houses a reconstruction of the personal studies of Arrigo Boito and Arturo Toscanini, as well as a room named after Mario Zanfi dedicated to the four-year piano competition of the same name: the Zanfi Room.
