Lapidary Museum – The Master of the Metopes
At number 6 Via Lanfranco, next to the Cathedral, is the Museo Lapidario del Duomo. Among the sculptures and architectural fragments preserved here are eight metopes with fantastic and monstrous figures, by an anonymous sculptor active in 1125-30, who is thought to be the Master of the Metopes.
