Liceo Volta Museum of Physical Sciences –

0
The Physics Museum at the Liceo Volta is divided into two sections dedicated to science education. The laboratory instruments section originates from the Physics Laboratory promoted and strongly desired by Alessandro Volta, teacher and school regent between 1775 and 1778. About one hundred instruments are on display, from the oldest ones, dating back to the last quarter of the 18th century, to the largest group, dating back to the first half of the 19th century, along a historical path marked by the evolution of scientific knowledge in the field of physics. The second section concerns the naturalistic collections, including a very rich 19th century herbarium.
