MAAAP – A museum of river finds

0
The Maaap (Museo Archeologico e Ambientale delle Acque del Padovano - Archaeological and Environmental Museum of the Waters of Padua) houses artefacts found in the riverbeds of the Padua area that document the history of the people of the Veneto from the pre-protohistoric age (Bronze Age) to the Roman-Medieval age, through the Renaissance and up to the present day. The most substantial nucleus of the museum concerns bronze artefacts belonging to a sanctuary of the Protohistoric and Roman ages, frequented from 750 BC to 400 AD. Another core exhibits late medieval and renaissance ceramics dating from 1400 to 1700 AD, and a collection of medieval weapons and tools.
