The Mausoleum of Augustus was built by his order after the end of the war against Antonio and the conquest of Egypt in 29 B.C.. During the centuries, this place was used in several ways, even for particular purposes. An example? At the end of the 19h century it was transformed into a foundry and used by the sculptor Enrico Chiaradia to create the Horse of Vittorio Emanuele II, the beautiful monument that you can see at Vittoriano in Rome.
