Monlue Park – The Old Hill of Wolves
Monlué Park is a rare example of rural park, perfect for a day trip. The park developed during the '70s between Lambro river and the bypass, in an area previously known as "Monte dei lupi" ("Hill of the wolves") due to packs of wolves that used to live here (from the Latin "Montis luparii" it changed into "Monlové" first and "Monlué" later). In older times, here there was an extremely rare example of "grangia" (a monastery surrounded by small farms): the Cistercian monastery of St. Maria di Brera.
