Museum of Dolls – The Marie Paule Védrine Andolfatto Collection

0
The Marie Paule Védrine Andolfatto Collection exhibits around 500 precious dolls made of wood, wax, papier-mâché, porcelain, biscuit, fabric, felt, celluloid, vinyl and various plastics. Alongside these are many other objects of particular value, such as splendid examples of miniature furniture models dating from the second half of the 18th century to the first quarter of the 19th century, numerous accessories for dolls and for women's games: miniature tableware made of porcelain, terracotta, glass, metal, silver, copper and aluminium pots and pans, and cookware, mostly of German and French manufacture. The dolls accompany the visitor through the museum on a historical journey back in time, starting with contemporary dolls and ending with some rare examples from the 17th century.
