The Museum of Mineralogy and Petrography is located in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Pavia. It was created in the 18th century by Lazzaro Spallanzani, Paolo Sangiorgio and other mineralogy enthusiasts. The museum offers the public a rich collection of minerals (sulphates, silicates), displayed in showcases, and of petrography.
