Museum of Mineralogy – Rare minerals from all continents

0
The Palermo Mineralogy Collection is located at the Department of Earth and Sea Sciences and houses one of the richest and oldest mineral collections in Sicily, such as the splendid finds from the Sicilian chalk-sulphur series, the various collections of minerals, often rare and from all continents, the rocks and decorative stone materials, the precious Sicilian amber, and the precious and ancient study and research instruments. The logic of the Mineralogy Museum's itinerary is that of a journey inside matter: from the micro to the macro, from meteorites coming from a distant space-time to the atom, with the idea of allowing the visitor to encode the "life" and "system" structures of each piece within an overall vision, that of the government of the laws of nature and principles.
