Museum of Radiology – Crystals, ampoules and devices

0
Palermo's Museum of Radiology is one of the very few museums of its kind in the world, allowing visitors to travel back in time to rediscover the crystals, ampoules and fascinating devices that have made the history of science great. Located in the premises of the Institute of Radiology, at the Policlinico Universitario Paolo Giaccone, it was the brainchild of Professor Adelfio Elio Cardinale. The exhibition includes technical equipment and various materials dating back to the end of the 18th century. There are also ancient electrostatic machines used to produce electricity by scholars in the 18th and 19th centuries, the first cathode ray tubes, a collection, unique in Italy, of tubes, control tables, cryptoscopes and orthoscopes.
