Museum of San Domenico – Art and photography

0
The ground floor of the San Domenico convent houses the Pedriali Collection, while temporary art and photography exhibitions are held annually in the large dedicated spaces. The first floor houses the ancient section of the Civic Art Gallery. The works on display cover a time span from the 12th to the early 19th century. The right wing houses the oldest works, from the 'Triptych' by the so-called Maestro di Forlì to the 'Procession of the Magi', from the fresco of the 'Peppermint' to the paintings by Beato Angelico and the 'Lady of the Jasmines' by Lorenzo di Credi. In the last room is the mysterious 'Flask with Flowers', one of the most significant still lifes in the Italian panorama of the early 17th century. Finally, in the oval room dedicated to her, Antonio Canova's Hebe floats serenely.
