The Museum of the Blessed Virgin of San Luca was created to enhance the devotional, historical, artistic and cultural heritage linked to the image of the Madonna and Child known as the Madonna di San Luca, preserved in the sanctuary of the same name on the Colle della Guardia. The Didactic Room welcomes the visitors and from Room 1 to Room 5 the exhibition route of the Museum continues. It includes contents regarding the history of the transport of the Madonna of San Luca to Bologna: sections on the history of the sanctuary and the first descent in procession of the table of the Madonna; the narration of the itineraries of the processions; the display reproducing the canopy and the icon with the silver processional cover, and the exhibition of many objects representative of the history of the devotion to the Madonna.
