Museum of the Risorgimento – Little Stories in History

0
The Museo del Risorgimento, housed in the Palazzo Ducale in Lucca, tells the story of the origins of united Italy through numerous relics. The museum narrates not only the great events, but also small stories in history, with a focus on minor and local characters. In this way it is possible to follow the birth of the nation through the characters who made it and the interesting testimonies that have come down to us. Here you can find various lithographs, paintings and illustrations, but also the weapons of those who fought to unite the country and the famous red jackets worn by some local Garibaldians. The room that most enchants the visitor is undoubtedly the multimedia one, where, with a visual storytelling operation, a film shows the story of some of the characters of the unification.
