Musical Instrument Museum – A collection of around 800 instruments

0
The Musical Instrument Museum is located in the building once used by the State Railways as the city's Lido station. The railway building has been renovated and now displays about 800 instruments divided into the five instrumental families of idiophones, membranophones, aerophones, chordophones and mechanical-electrical instruments. The purpose of the museum is to preserve and enhance the instruments and at the same time study them. These musical instruments come from all over the world. They are also catalogued according to the musical tradition to which they belong: ethnic music, folk tradition, Western "cultured" tradition.
