Natural History Museum – Plain, hills and mountains

0
The Civic Museum of Natural History is located in the old Ice Factory of the former Municipal Slaughterhouse and covers an area of about 2,000 square metres. With the support of multimedia equipment, the exhibition route winds its way through "The Plain", "The Hill" and "The Mountain" according to innovative museographic criteria that aim to recreate natural environments. The main nucleus of the collections comes from the collections of the Royal Technical Institute, the result of the research and classification work of teachers, researchers and enthusiasts. Among the outstanding collections are the Flora Italiae Superioris of 1820, the malacology collection of Raffaele del Prete and the precious mineralogical collection "Giovanni Dosi".
