The Museo Nicolaiano, which houses the most valuable items related to the centuries-long history of the Basilica of St Nicholas, takes the visitor on a journey that starts in antiquity and takes him or her through the different eras, from Byzantine to post-Unitarian times. The collection includes epigraphs, parchments and illuminated manuscripts, enamels, coats of arms, reliquaries, chalices, silverware, paintings and sacred vestments, which allow the visitor to learn about the history of the Saint, the Basilica and the city.
