Oratory of the Columbines – The Japellian Garden and the Angel Well

0
The building at number 6 Via Papafava was once the small Colombini Oratory, founded by St Anthony himself, which was annexed to the Papafava estate in 1810. Inside is the entrance to the Jappellian garden of the Papafava Palace, where it is said that the Paduan saint was forced to preach because of the enormous success of his sermons. One day, in the middle of a sermon, his breviary fell into the well that still exists today. It is immediately said that an angel came down from heaven to fish the book out of the water and return it to him intact.
