The Piacenza Ornithological Museum preserves, studies and exhibits birds living in nature and those bred by man. It was created from the desire to disseminate ornithological culture through knowledge of birds and attention to those characteristics that make them so special among living beings. The Museum is housed in a building with typical early 20th century architecture. On the first floor there is an exhibition room; the large outdoor area is enlivened by a large aviary, which houses small exotic birds and specimens of the local fauna. In addition to the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions of paintings and photographs on the environment and nature are held in the spring and summer seasons.
