Palace of the Devils – Devilish forces

0
The Palazzo dei Diavoli (Palace of Devils) is a historical building in Siena that acquired its most famous name on the basis of two possible interpretations: the popular version deals with satanic rites, orgies and black masses, which were thought to have taken place there, while the historical-legendary one is linked to the Sienese victory of 1526 that led to the dispersion of the army of Pope Clement VII and the Republic of Florence, a revenge that was said to have taken place thanks to the intervention of supernatural or diabolic forces. It is also said that during the nights of the same year, red lights were seen passing quickly through the windows, or women's screams were heard and, when people went to see what was going on, they saw bodies flying to the sky.
