Palazzetto Zuccari – The monstruous façade

0
The façade of Palazzo Zuccari is probably the most curious one in the city, projected by the famous Baroque artist Federico Zuccari. In 1590 he bought the area and built the palace taking inspiration from the "monstruous" style of the Bomarzo garden in Viterbo. Today it hosts the Hertziana library as well as remarkable artworks such as frescoes by Giulio Romano and, underground, the ruins of Villa di Lucullo of Ancient Rome.
