Palazzo della Penna Municipal Museum – Contemporary art

0
The Civic Museum of Palazzo della Penna is housed in the 16th century residence of the Perugian noble family of the Arcipreti della Penna, where Ascanio della Penna in the 17th century and then his great-great grandson Fabrizio placed their important art collections, unfortunately dismembered in 1875. The building is built on the remains of a Roman amphitheatre, which were brought to light during the renovation and transformation work that began in 1980. Today the building houses interesting collections of modern art: the Dottori collection, the Beuys collection, the Risorgimento collection and the Martinelli collection on the Baroque.
