The Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente (Society for Fine Arts and Permanent Exhibition) is a historic institution on the Milanese and Italian art scene, housed in the Palazzo designed in the neoclassical style by the architect Luca Beltrami with the specific aim of hosting art exhibitions. The Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente owns an art collection consisting of over three hundred works, including paintings and sculptures, and about one hundred drawings and engravings, which has been built up over time, from the inauguration of the current premises in 1886 to the present day, through the acquisition of paintings and sculptures that have won prizes at exhibitions organised by Permanente and the donation of works by artists, collectors and patrons.
