Legend has it that Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta ("Square of the Knights of Malta"), and the whole Aventino hill, is in reality the Templar's sacred ship that will raise anchor when the moment to sail to the Holy Land will come. This imaginary ship should be anchored in Ripa harbour of Tevere river, where there once was Ponte Sublicio. The V-shaped southern part of the hill should be the prow, the whole square is the deck while the obelisks and the marble sheet are the masts and sails.
