Ponds at EUR – Japanese cherry trees
Near the ponds in EUR area, there are 2500 cherry trees donated by the Japanese Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi to the Italian government in occasion of his visit in Rome on July, 20th 1959. That day, the actual name was given to the promenade and the first tree was planted.
