Romolo Valli Municipal Theatre – The debut of a star
Dedicated to the Emilian actor Romolo Valli, the Municipal Theatre of Reggio Emilia was built between 1852 and 1857. Its structure, which has a horseshoe layout and consists of five tiers of boxes and a gallery that can seat 1150 people, has seen the debut of an international star. On 29th April 1961, the great tenor Luciano Pavarotti made his debut in this theatre, playing the role of Rodolfo in Giacomo Puccini's opera "La Bohème", directed by Francesco Molinari Pradelli.
