Folklore has it that every year on St. John's night, between the 23rd and 24th of June, a solemn trial is held in St. Dominic's underground, where hundreds of people were tortured and executed: the plaintiffs' role is played by the many women accused of witchcraft, here to judge and condemn their old persecutors.
