0
The Strada Nuova Museums are a single museum comprising several of Genoa's Palazzi dei Rolli, all located on Via Garibaldi: Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Tursi. Palazzo Bianco houses an important collection of European, Italian and Genoese paintings from the 16th to the 18th century: Alongside the valuable masterpieces and paintings from Italy (Caravaggio, Veronese), Flanders (Jean Provost, Rubens, Van Dyck, Hans Memling, Gerard David), the Netherlands (Steen), France (Vouet, Lancret) and Spain (Zurbaràn, Murillo), there is a vast collection of Genoese painting from the 16th to the 18th century (Magnasco, Cambiaso, Strozzi, Piola). The sculpture depicting Maddalena Penitente, by Canova, concludes the exhibition of the precious art gallery of Palazzo Bianco and is placed in a suggestive space dedicated to her, inside Palazzo Doria Tursi.
