The gate of St. Damiano and Cosma’s convent – A heritage of Vimercati
At 1, Via Filodrammatici a beautiful gate made of wood is preserved. It comes from the palace of the powerful Vimercati family, at Via Crocefisso, who decided to give it away in the late 1400s. In Gothic-style, it includes the crest of Francesco Sforza, head of the famous family, as well as the portraits of Julius Caesar and Alexander The Great.
