A hypogeum was found underground during some construction works at 4, Via Livenza in 1923. This fifth-century monument is beautifully decorated and it belongs to the area of Porta Salaria Necropolis. However, despite the purpose of the area is well-known, the exact use of the hypogeum is not clear yet, especially due to the presence of a water tank. An hypothesis is that this place was used for baptism.
